Dr. Lauren Riggs - Veterinarian

Dr. Lauren Riggs, DVM is originally from Houston, Texas.

When she was a teenager, she and her family moved to Roatan, Honduras, where she volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation center. This experience made her quickly realize veterinary medicine was her vocation. Dr. Riggs earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Sam Houston State University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. She is thrilled to work in the city she grew up in and to be a part of the Memorial Veterinary Clinic team.

Dr. Rigg’s favorite aspect of her job is forming long-lasting relationships with her patients and clients, and helping them throughout every stage of life. While Dr. Riggs loves both dogs and cats equally, she has a special interest in feline medicine and ensures to create a calm and soothing environment to minimize stress that comes along with visiting the vet.

In her spare time, Dr. Riggs enjoys reading, swimming, boating, and spending time with her husband and her cat, Marley.
